Our most intensive outpatient care: full days of treatment, with your evenings to yourself.
*Talk to someone who understands what you are facing.
A partial hospitalization program, or PHP, is the most intensive level of outpatient care. You spend full days in structured treatment near Colorado Springs, then return to your own space in the evening. PHP gives you the daily momentum and close clinical support of an intensive program without the disruption of leaving your life entirely.
For many people, PHP is the right place to begin, especially early in recovery, after a hospital stay, or after detox, when the structure of a full treatment day makes the biggest difference.
PHP delivers full days of therapy, medical support, and skill-building, several days a week, while you sleep at home or in nearby lodging rather than at a facility. It is a step down from inpatient care and a step up from intensive outpatient treatment.
Compass PHP is outpatient. It is not residential or inpatient treatment, and we do not provide medical detox. You attend an immersive daily program and then have your evenings back.
PHP is often the right fit when:
You need daily structure and close support
You are stepping down from medical detox or a hospital stay
Your symptoms are too significant for weekly therapy or standard IOP
You want to heal quickly and fully, then step down to IOP and aftercare
No matter which level of care you start in, your plan is built from the same whole-person foundation:
Individual counseling and PhD or master’s-led group therapy
Functional medicine evaluation, lab work, and medical support
Brain mapping, neurofeedback, and qEEG-guided neurotherapy
Nervous system regulation, breathwork, and sauna or cold plunge resets
Fitness, nutrition, life mapping, and leadership and resilience coaching
Optional faith-based support
Every PHP client receives a functional medicine evaluation, a clinical plan led by our PhD team, and a clear path for what comes next. Because every part of your care is coordinated into one plan, the therapy, the medical work, and the brain-based tools reinforce each other rather than working in isolation.
Compass pairs the intensity of a full-day program with a calm, private setting in the mountains above Colorado Springs and a team that treats you as a person, not a position. You leave each day with skills, clarity, and a plan, and you move toward IOP and aftercare on a timeline that protects your recovery.
Out-of-town and out-of-state clients are welcome. You can arrange nearby lodging, including rooms at our adjacent five-acre micro-resort, and join the immersive daily schedule. Treatment stays outpatient, so your evenings are your own for rest and recovery.
No. PHP is an outpatient level of care. You attend full treatment days, then return home or to nearby lodging in the evening. Compass does not provide residential or inpatient care.
PHP length varies by need. Many clients spend a few weeks in PHP before stepping down to IOP and then aftercare, as part of our roughly 30-day immersive program.
PHP is more intensive, with full treatment days, and is often the right starting point early in recovery. IOP is lighter and more flexible. We help you choose during your free consultation.
No. Compass does not provide medical detox. If supervised withdrawal is needed first for safety, we will help you find it, then welcome you into PHP when you are ready.
Out-of-town clients can arrange nearby lodging, including rooms at our adjacent micro-resort, and attend the day program. Treatment remains outpatient.
PHP stands for partial hospitalization program. In mental health and addiction care it is an intensive outpatient level of care with full treatment days, sitting between inpatient care and a standard intensive outpatient program.
